Hokkaido's well-known foods are mainly fish.
Hachikyo (はちきょう) http://www.atomsgroup.jp/
The salmon roe bowl. The clerk keeps sprinkling soy sauce till you say "stop!".
This is a baked potato topped with butter, "Jaga butter" in Japanese. The right one that looks gloss is a salted fish guts. It doesn't taste bad though.
Uni Murakami (うに むらかみ) http://www.uni-murakami.com/hakodate/index.html
Uni Murakami is near to the Hakodate Morning market. Speaking of a sea urchin in Hakodate, this restaurant is the best.
Kaiyotei (海陽亭) http://www.kaiyoutei.co.jp/
This is a sashimi shop. It uses flesh fishes, but the cost isn't expensive in consideration of visitors.
Teishaba (停車場) http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~kitahama/
Hotate(scallop) curry rice. The restaurant is a redecoration of a station. (It's also a station)
Sapporo beer garden http://www.sapporo-bier-garten.jp/foreign/english.php
Beer with Genghis Khan is the best.
